Semester-long FCE and CAE preparation courses
Our semester-long courses are meant for the students who want to spend a considerable amount of time studying so as to become familiar with all the grammar, the strategies, the skills and the topics necessary to pass the exam.The FCE and CAE preparation courses are based on course books which closely adhere to the current format of the Cambridge exams. Having done the course, the student should be prepared to deal with the formal aspect of the exam. We practise: Reading, Writing, Use of English, Listening, and Speaking.
As our language school is an authorized Cambridge exam centre, the course teachers are officially certified examiners or they closely cooperate with them.
During the FCE and CAE preparation course you have an opportunity to take so-called mock exams i.e. exam simulations. This way you can find out which are the areas of language you should work on harder.

- The minimum language level: B2 Upper-Intermediate (for the FCE preparation course), C1 Advanced (for the CAE preparation course)
- The minimum age limit: 15 years
- The maximum number of the students in the class: 10
- The course price does not include: the cost of the course book, the exam fee
- The course books can be purchased at a reduced price at the school reception
The IH Bratislava preparation English courses are rather demanding in terms of homework. It may include e.g. writing essays or other writing assignments, which are then corrected and marked by the teacher.
Short-term FCE and CAE preparation courses
The short-term preparation course is meant for the students who want to prepare for the FCE or CAE Cambridge exams, and are limited by time. The course teaches the basic strategies necessary to pass Cambridge English: First (FCE) or Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE).The course description

The students use a course book specially designed for a short-term intensive preparation course as well as other additional materials. During the course, you have an opportunity to take a mock exam. You can learn and practise the strategies, techniques and skills necessary to pass the exam.
