Young Learners
English courses for Young Learners are designed for children and teenagers aged 5 -14 years.
To learn a foreign language successfully takes a lot of time and a great deal of motivation. At our language school ,International House Bratislava, we believe, that the learning experience we provide for our children will influence their relationship to the language for the rest of their lives. When this is a positive and motivating experience, children will embrace the language with open arms and so gain an advantage over their peers.
Placement testing
for children aged 5-7 it is an oral test
for children aged 8-11 it is a short written and oral test
for teenagers 12-14 it is a more detailed written test

When do courses start and what is their intensity?
New courses start in September but it is possible to join them at any time of the year.

The Cambridge Young Learners English Tests for children aged seven to twelve years old and are designed to challenge and motivate children learning English.

- books are chosen in relation to children’s age and skills
- certificate at the end of each course
- we test on reading, writing, listening, speaking and grammar
- UCLES exam for kids aged 8 yrs and older
- qualified team of native speakers and Slovak teachers of English
